This is an example of one of the smaller shrines in Kyoto, which I just happened to stumble upon while I was on my way somewhere else. This was just on the street, next to a Seven-Eleven!
I know a lot of general information about Japanese history, as well as some basic Japanese manners and cultural aspects thanks to my classes at university. There's definitely people who know a lot more about Japan than I do, though.
